The Protection Of Chiller Motor

     The motor that drives the compressor is usually the most expensive component in the system. Moreover, the greater the power of the compressor motor, the higher the price. Therefore, more need to provide protection. The small power closed compressors in household freezers has little protection measure. The motor used in small capacity chillers are generally equipped with motor devices previously discussed. Here, we only discuss motor protection devices for large capacity chillers such as strew chillers and centrifugal chillers.

      The types of the motor protector depends on the system size and type. In recently years, great development and improvement have been taken in various electronic devices used to detect voltage, temperature and current. The various motor protection methods available today are quite different from those of a few years ago. But many of the old-fashioned motor protection devices are still in use, even for years.
